Lick Observatory Drive - an outta this world experience

Join fellow FOC members for the FOC Lick Observatory Drive followed by our club lunch. This will be an outta this world tour! Hello star gazers, You're invited to join us on a drive and private tour of the Lick Observatory on Mt. Hamilton above San Jose on Saturday, November 11. I hope you can attend. At 10:30 am, a celestial researcher will provide a knowledgable private tour of the impressive facility, including the 36” Great Refractor Telescope and the 3 meter Shane Reflecting Telescope where numerous historic discoveries have been found in our heavens. Ferraris or sports cars are preferred as the twisty road up to the observatory is challenging and fun, but mainly looking forward to getting together a fun group who enjoy and are awed by our universe. After the private tour, we'll caravan to Giorgio’s Italian Restaurant in San Jose, CA for lunch on your own.
