Lions Automobilia Museum Tour & Lunch

A members' visit to the Lions Automobilia Museum — SoCal drag-racing history, automotive art, and a box lunch at Rick's Diner.

  • Southern California Region
  • Lions Automobilia Museum, Rancho Dominguez, CA
  • 10:00AM – 2:00PM
  • Saturday, Sep 19, 2026

About this event

The club heads to the Lions Automobilia Museum in Rancho Dominguez — a living archive of Southern California car culture and its drag-racing roots. The Lions Drag Strip was founded in 1955 on a Los Angeles railroad yard in Wilmington and ran until December 2, 1972; the museum keeps that history, and much more, alive.

Come experience automotive art and design, tour the paint and body shop, and take in the beautiful historic wall murals. Keep an eye out for the Batmobile as it prepares to take off for Gotham City — and for Elvis, who has been known to frequent the building. Don't forget to stop by the gift shop on your way out.

A box lunch is served on site in Rick's Diner — pick your sandwich when you register. $45 per person covers the tour and lunch. Registration closes September 14th; no refunds after September 16th.
